Poem of Life

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be ,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay.
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know,
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord .

Big Simba aka Dave
Simba a.k.a. Dave (September 07)(2)

Simba / Dave was one of our 1st litter. Earlier this year, he had a twisted spleen. He had an operation & all things looked well until he started losing weight & wouldn’t eat his food.    His new owners Lynda & Roy rushed him to the vet, but were told the best thing for him would be to put him to sleep. It looks like he had a twisted stomach....

Our hearts go out to Lynda & Roy, & also Michelle & Steve who originally cared for & loved him. It has hit us hard, but for them it must be enormously hard to come to terms with. Nobody expects to lose a dog at such a young age & in the prime of his life.

Hope you’re having a great time up there in doggie heaven.....you are so missed.

My Forever Friend
I know that it must be different,
now that I am no longer there.
I realize how much I was loved
and how all of you did care.
I know it will be hard at first
when you look around for me.
Expecting to find me in my bed
or beside my favourite tree.
Someday you will begin to see
although it'll take some time,
the happy times you shared with me,
the memories are yours and mine.
I'll remember you, my friends,
and how much you meant to me.
So please don't grieve and don't be sad,
it was just my time to leave.

The family

Milo lived with Nadine, Iain, & Tilly (from our 3rd litter), in Devon.

He had been poorly on and off for a couple of months with unexplained infections. They went to the vets again on Fri 15th May for some tests but he quickly deteriorated over the weekend. They went back on Wed 20th May and a scan revealed a small mass and a large mass of tumour on his heart. His lymph nodes were very swollen and it seemed he had lymphoma cancer which had spread through his body also. He was an extremely poorly little chap and is now at peace in his sleep.

Milo was the cheeky little chap who was everyone’s friend. Tilly loved
him and he was a great role model for her. They are still trying to
come to terms with what has happened.

Our hearts go out to the family at this tragic time....

Although we never met Milo, he was a special pal to Tilly, so we loved him too....
